Not my first time, but as a tiki fan this is a spotlight on the tiki your around the Portland/Couve area. Their classic cocktails are great, but come for the house made items. The atmosphere is a vibe you can hope for in the Couve, especially when it's dreary out, food is delicious, and the drinks will have you coming back. Not sure when the owner is ever off, but as long as she's always there, you know you'll get taken care of.

Coral Club is a great example of a what a tiki bar should be. The food is good. The decor is perfect and they take pride in the cocktails they serve. In fact, I've had a few respected mixologists recommend Coral Club to me. I started with a Mai Thai since that is the iconic tiki drink. I was taken aback when it came in sort of rocks glass with crushed ice. I rarely order them, but they usually come in a tall glass with cubes. I don't care for crushed ice. But then I remembered back in the day being served a Mai Thai served this way at the famous tiki bar, Trader Vic's in The Beverly Hilton. I appreciated the history, so I rolled with it...but it wasn't my jam. For a follow up I had the Smith & Scotch but on a king cube in a rocks glass. That was a fantastic drink for my palate. They have an impressive rum list. Next time I might just explore sipping some rums neat. We started with the chips and salsa, which is pineapple-shishito based. It was decent...but too mild for me. I ordered the Kalua pig sliders. My daughter enjoyed the Spam musubi. Street parking only. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars.

So much fun, the interior decor was wildly impressive and on theme, lots of fun knik knaks. I had my first ever pina colada and it was fantastic, they served drinks that they set on fire! It was so entertaining and unique to any bar I've been to

Went with the wife for a date night yesterday. We had the Kalua Pig Sliders, Lumpia, Spam Musubi, Shoyu Chicken, and BOH Bowl with chicken to eat. We had the Mai Tai, Blue Hawaii, Cheehoo!, and Some Punch Aunty Made to drink. Everything was outstanding! Hard to pick a favorite. Service was great and the atmosphere was fantastic! We will be coming back. I recommend this place to anyone unless you have a very large group (it is quite small) or if artwork and photos of topless island girls bothers you.

This place is awesome. We took a chance and decided to try the Coral Club not having any concept of what to expect. Service was friendly and kind, drinks were delicious, and happy hour was definitely worth it! My husband and I decided to order all appetizers on the happy hour menu so we could try everything. The chef was kind enough to consolidate all orders on one plate for each of us so we had a nice smattering of samples. Standouts of the group were the shishito peppers as well as the spam musubi roll (we generally don't care for spam and this thing was damn tasty!). All food was piping hot and freshly prepared with care. We also took advantage of the happy hour drinks...the Mai Tai is absolutely delicious and not to be missed, especially for 10. The vibe of the restaurant was casual, funky, and fun. We went on a Friday evening around 5 and it was not crowded and very comfortable. Paid street parking is plentiful with many options right around the corner and you're only charged until 6pm, so we had time to stroll after dinner. Wonderful experience, impeccable service - would absolutely recommend and will come again. Thank you!
